The Very Hungry Caterpillar

We are learning the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar! This has fitted perfectly with our Health Week. For homework this week, see if you can think of some different coloured healthy foods to add to your Healthy Food Rainbow! frown

Owl Babies

Over the last two weeks we have been learning the story of Owl Babies! We just love this story and have been working so hard to retell it using different props in small groups. We have talked lots about the feelings of each character at different stages of the story. We are trying very hard to answer questions. Some questions you may like to ask your child include:

How are the owls feeling?

Where has their mummy gone?

What do the owls like to eat?

Why are the owls awake at night time?

We are developing our ability to questions appropriately and understand important 'who, what, where, when, why' question words.

Owl Babies - Picture Book Animation

Three baby owls, Sarah, Percy and Bill, wake up one night in their hole in a tree to find that their mother has gone. So they sit on a branch and wait. Darkness gathers and the owls grow anxious, wondering when their mother will return.
