Auntie Jean’s Breakfast & After School Club

 

We provide extended services in the form of a Breakfast Club from 7:30am until 8:45am and After School Club from 3:30pm until 6:00pm.

 

Our club is registered with OFSTED (Office for Standards in Education) under St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School’s OFSTED registration and the Registration Number is 105068.

 

Each session is organised to provide positive experiences through a flexible routine. During breakfast club and the full afternoon session, the children are provided with a healthy and nutritional snack, taking into account any special dietary needs and preferences.

 

Booking and Making Payments

 

All sessions must be prebooked via our School Money booking facility.  You can find further details and guidance here.  Bookings must be made before midnight on the day before the required booking. 

 

 

 

If you require emergency childcare at short notice then please contact the school office who will do their best to accommodate a booking for you, subject to available places.   Please note payment must be made at the point of booking either in person at the school office or over the telephone in order to secure bookings taken on the day.  

 

We would ask bookings on the day should not be made routinely and should be booked in this way in circumstances when childcare is required last minute.

 

 

Cancellations

 

Bookings may be cancelled in advance by contacting the school office by phone or email (schooloffice@stjosephs-upton.wirral.sch.uk).  Please note failure to cancel bookings at least 24 hours in advance, will result in payment being unable to be refunded. 

 

Tax Free Childcare / Childcare Voucher Scheme

 

If you are eligible for tax free childcare and wish to pay via a childcare voucher scheme please complete the relevant Application for tax free childcare voucher scheme bookings, a hard copy of which is available via the school office.   Once we have received your application and verified eligibility, we amend your School Money account allowing you to make bookings via this payment option.

 

Sessions

 

Our breakfast and after school club sessions are as follows:

 

Breakfast session – Times: 7.30am – 8.45am   Cost: £4.50

 

Children may arrive from 7.30am and will receive a choice of breakfast cereals, toast, pastries, waffles, pancakes and fruit, served up until 8.25 am.

 

After school club:

 

Early pick up session – Times: 3.30 pm - 4.00 pm  Cost: £3.50

 

This is a short session to help parents who may just need a short period of childcare, for example whilst they are collecting siblings from other schools.  Please note no snack provided during this sessionIf children are booked in for the short session but are collected after 4:00pm, the full session rate becomes applicable and will be added to your account for payment.

 

Full session - Times: - 3:30pm – 6:00pm  Cost: £7.00

Children receive a snack during a full session, e.g. beans on toast, crackers, noodles, wraps, etc

 

We also offer a discounted rate for siblings for the full session - siblings only relates to bookings for parents with more than one child who are booking the same day for their children.  In this instance, the first child would be booked under the usual full session, costing £7.00 and any siblings would be booked using the sibling option, attracting a discounted rate of £5.00 per session. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Activities at Club 

 

We offer a warm and welcoming environment for children in both our breakfast and after school sessions.   Our dedicated club team constantly develop exciting and engaging activities for our children which range from board games, arts and crafts, cakes and biscuit decoration, celebrations of topical calendar events such as National Lego Day, Chinese New Year, Valentine’s Day, Mothers/Fathers Day, Easter, Christmas, etc.  Children also have the opportunity to be involved in religious links celebrating our saints and religious festivals.

 

 

Contacting after School Club in the event of an emergency

 

In exceptional circumstances, as our school office closes before after school club, if you need to get in touch with after school club eg. to advise of any delays collecting your child, then you can contact the after school club staff by calling 07919 493 801.

 

Please note, this number is only to be used in exceptional circumstances or emergencies relating to after school club between the hours of 3:30pm and 6:00pm.

 

The school office are on hand during school office hours to help with any other queries you may have.
